Important Tips To Recover Faster
1. Do not wash hair immediately after the procedure
The patient should wait 3-4 days after the procedure or until the wounds are completely healed. It’s also recommended to wash the hair with a very gentle shampoo such as baby shampoo.
2. Do not exercise
Gym lovers will hate this but it’s important to not do any type of exercise because of the sweat which can increase probabilities of any infections when your wounds are not completely healed yet.
3. Relax as much as possible
Doctors usually recommend staying a couple days at your home resting, specially during the first week which is the most complicated recovery period. Any activity will possibly delay or worsen the healing process of the scalp.
4. Avoid Alcohol
Drinking alcohol affects the blood supply to the head causing a longer healing process of the transplant.
5. Do not put any chemicals on your hair
